EA and PopCap are a compelling combination, said EA CEO John Riccitiello in a press release. PopCaps great studio talent and powerful IP add to EAs momentum and accelerate our drive towards a 1 billion digital business. We picked EA because they have recast their culture around making great digital games, said David Roberts, CEO of PopCap. By working with EA, well scale our games and services to deliver more social, mobile, casual fun to an even bigger, global audience. The deal is expected to close next month, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Ea Popcap Update With FurtherEA will have a press conference soon, and well update with further details. Other than their stupid Origin shenanigans, EAs been pretty decent of late; publishing new IPs and some pretty solid games. The closest EA will get to Valve is putting their games into a box. We believe that these changes will allow us to hit a larger market. Ea Popcap Trial Will LastYour multiplayer trial will last one day, after which you may purchase additional tickets for 24 months of additional play with this title (available in packs of 5 only).
